Cheryl Lynn VanScoy, 58, of Fairmont passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her residence.
She was born September 19, 1957 in Clarksburg; daughter of the late Basil and Elizabeth Ruth Cleavenger Smith.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, of fifteen years, Donald V. VanScoy; five children, Amber Nichole and Jonathan L. Benincosa of Fairmont, Timothy L. Watson, II of Cross Lanes, Joshua Adam Watson of Fairmont, Casey Diana VanScoy and Derek Kyle VanScoy both of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Asher, Nadia, Braeden, Silas, Nevaeh, Psyron and Jackson; one sister, Eileen and Richard Wickenhofer of Nutter Fort; two brothers, Joseph and Maria Smith of Orlando, Anthony and Sharon Smith of Broad Oaks; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Cleavenger, David Smith; one niece, Heather Smith.
Cheryl was employed at Eagle Convex Glass for 20 years. She was a hard worker and loyal friend. She loved holidays with her family and grandchildren. She had a kind loving soul, beautiful infectious smile, and strong spirit. She always welcomed everyone into her heart and home. She always found the good in everyone.
