Cheryl Lynn (Pearson) Lowe passed away peacefully, due to complications from congestive heart failure, on March 26, 2024. She would have celebrated her 79th birthday on March 30.Up until the end, Cheryl maintained her love of God, family and friends. She had a keen sense of humor and treated both friends and strangers with kind words and compassion.She married the love of her life, Bernard Lowe, on May 12, 1970 and were together for 39 years until his death on November 4, 2009. They resided in Bath, Michigan and had three children: Dawn (Randy) Long of Greenville, Tamra (Curlee) Foster of Lansing, and Ryan Lowe of Bath. Cheryl adored her four grandchildren and their partners – Brooke (Benjamin) Barrick, Hunter Long (Aleshia Chesebro), Brianna Hall (Marquis Austin) and Tristin Hall (Sharmania Pullins).The daughter of Glenn and Ruby Pearson of rural St. Johns, Cheryl had five siblings, including Virginia (Bob) Klauer (both deceased), Beverly Ann (Bernard) Wawsczyk of DeWitt, Eleanor (Russ) Galvin (Eleanor is deceased), Sheila (John) Andrews of DeWitt, and Michael (Laura) Pearson of Oxford, Ohio.Her grandparents were William and Nellie Pearson of DeWitt, and Charles and Ettie Gidney of Brantford, Ontario, Canada.Cheryl had many loving nieces and nephews, and ten cousins- including five who reside in Canada.She attended a rural one-room school, Merle Beach, from kindergarten through eighth grade, and regularly helped her Dad with farm work as a young tractor driver. Cheryl graduated from St. Johns’ Rodney B. Wilson High School on June 5, 1963 and retired from the Michigan State Police in 2001 after devoting 36 years of service.Cheryl will always be remembered for being a wonderful mother and grandmother, and an outstanding cook.
