Cheryl Lynn Jackson Brown, 59, of Oak Forest, Illinois and formerly of Three Oaks, Michigan died at her home, Saturday morning, May 14, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. Cheryl was born June 4, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana to Brence and Patricia Jackson.

She graduated from River Valley High School in 1969. Cheryl was the founder of Sonlite Service. She enjoyed photography, hosting dinner parties, and entertaining. She was active in the church and was a volunteer at the Royal Family Kids Camp. Cheryl loved her family and as an advocate in pursuing justice for her father’s death, she set up the website www.brencejackson.com.

She is survived by her son, Daniel (Dana) Behler of Merrillville, Indiana; mother, Patricia Balbo of New Troy, Michigan; sisters, Virginia Powell of Bridgman, Michigan; Gloria (John) Bickerstaff of Three Oaks, Michigan; Linda (Gary) Jannert of Sawyer, Michigan; and Gina Balbo of St. Joseph, Michigan and brothers, Jeff (Freda) Jackson of Sawyer and Anthony (Deb) Balbo of Benton Harbor, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father Brence on September 29, 1981 and by her sons, Tony on May 4, 1985 and Jason on September 29, 1991.
