Cheryl “Sherry” L. Cook, 55, of Anderson, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on September 18, 2012.
She was born on September 29, 1956 to Laura Ann Rousey and Richard J. Cook. Cheryl graduated from Lapel High School in 1975 and Ivy Tech College in 1982 with an Associate Degree in Accounting and Military Services. She retired from American Red Cross in 1996 as Director of Social Services after 17 years. In 1992, she received the American Red Cross Tiffany Award. She is a member of Perkins Ville Community Church, Anderson Noon Optimist Club, and Anderson Speedway. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1975, and Ivy Tech College 1982, with associate degree in accounting and military services.
Survivors include Kim Jessica McFadden and family, Rosemarie John Albers and family, Paul Anna Bell Cook, Terry Cook and family, Kerry Cook and family, Vickie David Witt and family, Michael Nicole McFadden and family, Edith Forrest, and Brandon Brittany McCartney and family. Special friends; Joe Rachel VanHorn and family and Rick Dawson and family. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard J. & Laura Ann Rousey Cook, and a brother, Mark Spencer Cook.
