Cheryl Kuhtz, 68, of Woodland Park, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021.  She was in her home surrounded by her family.  Her death ended more than two years of suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). 

She was born to the late Courtney and Arlene Quandt on February 1, 1953, in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  She was raised in Jefferson, Wisconsin, and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 1971.  She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975.  On August 6, 1977, she married Lee Kuhtz in Jefferson.  In their 44 years of marriage, Lee and Cheryl resided in Modesto, California; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Woodland Park. 

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Lee of Woodland Park; three daughters and sons-in-law, Allison Hanson (Rob) of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, Lindsay Thompson (Mark) of Littleton, Colorado, and Jessi Dalgas (Nate) of Bellingham, Washington; and three siblings, Steve Quandt (Jean) of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Mary-Lynne Mason (Rick) of Lake Mills, and Tom Quandt of St. Paul, Minnesota.  Cheryl was the proud grandmother to Eliana and Noelle Thompson; Simon, Elliot, and Asher Hanson; and Victor Dalgas.
