Cheryl J. Messner, 77, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020. Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, Ellis W. Messner.
Born Oct. 29, 1943 in Canton she was a daughter of Myrtle (Elliott) McNeal Graham and Lester McNeal.
Cheryl retired after 35 years of employment from Frito Lay. She was a lifetime social member of the Marine Corp League in Ralston where she and her husband were involved in many activities. Cheryl enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and doing plastic canvas art. She was an outgoing, kind person who would do anything for anyone but would speak her mind when she needed.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Michael W. Messner (Stephanie), and Sheri J. Messner-Prokop all of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Ryan, Garrett, Michael, Jonah and Paige; two sisters, Joanne Graham and Linda McNeal; a brother, Pastor William McNeal; several nieces, nephews and friends who were like family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy J. Messner, and a sister, Glenda McNeal.
