Cheryl Darliene Fuller was born September 5th, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan to Adrian Fuller and Betty Brigham. She passed away peacefully at Pikes Peak Hospice on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 after a brief battle with acute respiratory failure.

Cheryl was a strong independent woman who was always working towards bettering herself. Whether by reading books as she was avid reader, or by earning her masters degree in psychology to better understand herself as well as help others with their mental health. Not only was she very passionate about psychology and books but she had a profound love for horses and the cowboy lifestyle. That is mainly what drew her to Colorado from Michigan in the early 1980s. Before leaving Detroit she had already married twice and had 1 son Justin in August, 1974 with her 2nd husband Al Johnson. She came to Colorado with little more than Justin and a couple of suitcases. Shortly after arriving here she started seeing and married her 3rd husband Christopher Taylor. In November, 1984 Cheryl welcomed her 2nd son Storm into the world with Chris. Cheryl had many friends both from Michigan and in Colorado. She always kept in touch with the ones “back home” while easily making new friends in Colorado due to her upbeat and intelligent nature. She held them all near and dear to her heart.

Cheryl overcame many trials and tribulations throughout her life from being laid off only to go back to school and earn her masters, to beating cancer with only a 20% chance of making it 5 years from the completion of her treatment. Cheryl would probably say that her biggest accomplishments were her education and raising her two sons to live past 25. They definitely gave her all she could handle during their growing years, but she stayed strong and did the best she could for them. She fought medical issues for 25 years even after beating her cancer, but finally found her way home to the Lord and suffers no longer.

Cheryl is survived by her younger son Storm Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO and her Granddaughter Aubrey Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO.
