Cheryl Ann Katona, 67, of Morganton, NC, passed away on July 22, 2018. Cheryl was born July 25, 1950, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Steve and Susan Hrapchak. She resided in Connecticut until moving to Florida in 1995; and only recently had moved to North Carolina.
Cheryl graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, CT and immediately entered the working world at Sikorsky Aircraft. She later attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL where she committed herself to earn her Bachelors degree much later in life when others were thinking of retirement. She spent her working time as an executive assistant for various V.P.’s with GE Capital and Tech Data Corp. Away from work, Cheryl loved the arts.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 17 years Paul; step-children Paul III and Ken (Angie); her son Mark (Lesley); grandchildren Elizabeth, Samantha, Jessica, Mark and Anthony “Ace”; and pets Cody and Mia.
