Cheryl Ann Blackman, age 58, of Centralia, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Cheryl was born on May 10, 1957, a daughter to Stanley and Virginia (Mathus) Brookman. On October 26, 1983, she married Charles Lee Blackman, Jr. in Centralia, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck; three daughters, Contessa Blackman-Lenzini and fiancé Steve Norris of Centralia, IL, Madison Blackman of Centralia, IL, and Melissa Kirgan and husband Richard of Salem, IL; three brothers, Terry Brookman and wife Sandy of Troy, IL, Gary Brookman and wife Lana of Ina, IL and Steve Brookman and wife Michelle of Centralia, IL; nine grandchildren, Rachel and Kaitlyn Brown, Cameron Lenzini, Jared Kirgan, Jayda Blackman, Savannah Posey, Jersey Blackman, Benjamin Norris and Eayn Norris; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl had previously worked at Friendship Nursing Home in Centralia. She loved her job, but mostly enjoyed visiting and spending time with her residents. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose and she enjoyed singing karaoke, playing BINGO, and spending time with her family and friends.
