Cherlyn Rena Adams (Red) was born January 16, 1963 to the late Deacon EDD and Shirley Jimerson.  She was the second child of three, born in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She began her education at Lafayette Elementary School, and later graduated from Booker T. Washington School in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Cherlyn realized that she could not live alone, so she confessed to Christ at an early age as her personal savior.

Cherlyn lived in New Orleans most of her life where she me the love of her life, the late Michael Anthony Adams, before moving to Alabama in 1996 and being married.

Cherlyn lived and loved life.  She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She tried many or different jobs, such as, truck driver, but she preferred to be a homemaker to take care of her family.  God allowed Cherlyn to be with us for 58 years as a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Cherlyn was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Adams; parents, Deacon EDD and Shirly Jimerson; brother, EDD Jimerson, Jr.

Cherlyn leaves to cherish her memory: two (2) daughters, Nicole Ruffin and Monique Jimerson; one (1) son, Glendell Jimerson; eight (8) grandchildren: Carl Marshall, Duane Ruffin, Andreas Jimerson, Brellvon Ruffin, Duarron Ruffin, Alex Jimerson, Alexis Jimerson, Amir Jimerson; two (2) great-grandchildren, Kaiden Ruffin and Kaisen Ruffin; one (1) sister, Marilyn J. Capers (Roy); nieces, Tyralyn Perkins, Troylynn Perkins, Ebony Jimerson; nephews, EDD Mossip, Theodore Jimerson, EDD Jimerson III, Lance Jimerson, Devin London (Larissa); a forever friend, Glendell Williams; a host of cousins and friends.

Cherlyn loved many people and many people loved her.
