Our beautiful Chelsie Jean Knighton passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30 on May 16, 2019. She was born to Gary and Terry Knighton on April 25, 1989 in Ogden, Utah. Chelsie was a beautiful soul who brought joy to everyone who knew her. She was an excellent student, on the high honor roll many times throughout her school years and was a cheerleader at Orion Jr. High. She graduated from Weber High School in 2007 and upon graduation was already a Certified Nursing Assistant. She continued her studies at Weber State University and always planned on completing nursing school to help others.

When she was young, Chelsie enjoyed soccer, tumbling, softball, and was on a competitive dance team for many years, winning competitions in several states. She was always active and loved to be outdoors doing anything and everything – snow and water skiing, swimming, fishing, riding ATVs, motorhome trips and especially dancing in the rain. Chelsie loved her job helping disabled and troubled youth find their way in this world. She was always getting lost in a good book.

In 2011, Chelsie’s life was enriched by the birth of her first precious daughter, Maliha (age 7). Soon after, two others followed: Miya (age 6) and Maeja (age 5). She called them her “three lucky charms” and loved them with all her heart. She taught them to appreciate the little things in life – the beauty of nature, sunrises and sunsets, going to the park, sleeping on the trampoline, counting the stars, and talking about life, dreams, and fairy tales. One of their favorite things was taking long walks on warm summer nights.

Chelsie was a selfless and compassionate woman who always put others before herself. She brought out the best in everyone around her and made it a point to make you feel like the most special person in the room. We still cannot believe that she is gone from this life so soon. She will be deeply and profoundly missed by all those who knew her and loved her so dearly. Our hearts are broken, but we know we will be with her again.

Chelsie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also loved learning about many other ideas and cultures. She is survived by her three beautiful daughters and the loves of her life, Maliha Faye, Miya Rain, and Maeja Jean, her parents Gary Alan and Terry Jean (Allen) Knighton, her two older brothers Brady James and Ryan Tyler, and her younger sister and best friend Jaclyn RachaAC. (Nathen) Perlick and their children.
