Chelsea Lynn Elizabeth McKinney, 28, of Greenwood, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away on May 22, 2022. Chelsea was born December 14, 1993, in Indianapolis, IN. Chelsea leaves behind two beautiful children, Elite Donell Keith Woods: 9 (Quinton Woods) and Leilani Joyce Lynn Finkton: 6 (Michael Finkton):  parents, James Alan McKinney of Arcadia, IN and Kelly Lynn Elizabeth Bryan-Almeda of Greenwood, IN: sister of Brittany McKinney (Kerry Mundy), Vincent McKinney (Sabrielle Riffey): an amazing aunt to Mannix Herald, Jace Hardy, Karter Hardy and Wren McKinney: beloved by her (grandfather) Darrel McKinney, aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundant number of friends. She was preceded in death by Pom-Pom/Joyce McKinney (grandmother), Brian Almeda (stepfather), Linda Jones McClintock (grandmother) and Steven Bryan (uncle).

From an early age, Chelsea was always such a caring and loving person. Throughout her life she easily could light up a room either by her bright clothes or loud spunky personality. Growing up she was frequently referred to as “Punky Brewster” and she owned that nickname. She loved Jesus very much! Around the age of five she told her father (James) that he was in fact not her dad! When asked who her dad was, she said “Jesus is my real dad!”

Chelsea was the youngest sibling and referred to commonly as the baby (the one who smiled at her parents and did no wrong)

After graduating high school, Chelsea joined the healthcare field as a sterile technician. She loved sharing stories of things she would see from surgeries. Chelsea left Community Health Network and recently became employed at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital of which she was so excited about! Chelsea recently started a business to help other women.

After taking some time off, she had recently re-enrolled in college to finish pursuing her Associates Degree. She was looking forward to completing her degree and to be able to provide for her children an even better life.

Chelsea was a wonderful mother and loved her babies so dearly. Her nephews were very loved by their Aunt Chels. She insisted that she needed a niece.

Chelsea was a great friend to many and genuinely loved all people deeply. Chelsea was the best sister that one could ask for and always a call away. Chelsea could give a hug and instantly you felt better!
