Chase Hunter Morgan, age 26, passed away at his home on October 23, 2022, in the Five Points community of Lawrence County, where he has been a lifelong resident.
Chase was born February 25, 1996, at Decatur General Hospital in Morgan County, Alabama to Gordon Dean Morgan and Wanda Bowen Morgan. He attended Speake School and Lawrence County High School, where he was part of the Class of 2014. His hobbies and interests included hunting, sports, riding four-wheelers, body building, and being outdoors. He was self-employed, working in various jobs ranging from construction and lawncare to fencing.
Chase is survived by his mother, Wanda Morgan Wise; daughter, Carleigh Mae Byrd; sister, Dana Meredith (Timmy); uncles/aunts, Sherry & Jerry Horton and Keith & Gail Bowen; nieces, Peyton Meredith, and Don and Yolanda Morgan Smith; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Dean Morgan; his paternal grandparents, Hagon O. Morgan and Syble Howell Morgan, and his maternal grandparents, William “Bill” Bowen and Jeraldean Vickers Bowen.
