Charmaine Schellinger passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 30, 2016. She went to be with her Lord Jesus at the age of 72. She was born in New Orleans, LA on January 2, 1944. Charmaine was predeceased by her loving parents Victor “Jack” Barberot and Leah Rose Barberot. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Christen Schellinger Rodriguez, son-in-law Joseph Rodriguez, grandchildren, Taylor Jade Rodriguez, Devin Matthew Rodriguez and Spencer Rose Rodriguez. Also by a dear friend that was always more of a sister that she dearly loved since their early days in nursing school, Mrs. Patricia Hill Ellis. Charmaine was born and raised in New Orleans. She worked as a nurse to raise and care lovingly for her only daughter. Her love and compassion as a nurse was mainly spent in caring for babies in the NICU at Southern Baptist Hospital, Lakeside Hospital and Tulane Hospital. She loved all people and animals with a warm, open, caring heart and will be greatly missed.
