Charmaine Amanda Gallego was called to rest in her heavenly home on May 20, 2016. She was born February 15, 1977, to Vernon and Vanessa Seaberry Fleming at Silas B. Hays Army Hospital, Fort Ord Army Base in Monterey, California.

As an Army brat, Charmaine Amanda moved with her family many times; however, she settled down long enough to graduate from Walnut Hills High School, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1995. Charmaine Amanda graduated from Hampton University in Hampton, VA in 1999 with a degree in Art and Graphic Design. She nearly completed her requirements for a Master of Arts degree in Graphic Design at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). She earned a Master of Library Science degree from the University of South Carolina. At the time of her passing, Charmaine Amanda was employed by the State of South Carolina Attorney General’s Office as head librarian. Charmaine Amanda is survived by her daughter, Kylan Elisha Carter. In 2011, Charmaine Amanda married Jessy Gallego and from this union, two sons were born, Ari Fleming Gallego and Aiden Eli Gallego. In addition to Jessy, Kylan, Ari, and Aiden, Charmaine Amanda is survived by her mother, Vanessa Loyd, and her husband, Sanford; her father, Vernon Fleming and his wife, Ann; and mother-in-law, Maria Usuga.

Surviving siblings include her best friend/sister, Chanell Fleming, and step-brothers, and sister, Sean Murray, Gino Faulkner, Dominic, and Nevaeh Fleming; brothers-in-law Kenny Gallego (Jessica) and Larry Usuga. Charmaine Amanda also leaves her grandmothers, Beulah Morris and Josephine Fleming; a niece- Jade Rucker, a nephew- Miles Rucker, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
