Charlotte P. Green 75, of Huntsville, AL passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family. Mrs. Green was born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Huntsville, AL where she graduated from SR Butler High School. Mrs. Green was a member of First United Methodist Church in downtown Huntsville. She had a long and fulfilling career working for the U.S. Government and associated contractors for 35 years before retiring in 2008. Mrs. Green loved her husband of 53 years, her family, her friends, her faith, her dog and an ice-cold Coca-Cola. A lover of all things fun, Mrs. Green was an excellent bowler, the life of the party and a supreme comedian. She loved sunshine and the beach, telling a funny joke and spending an early Friday evening nursing a margarita (upgraded with a splash of OJ) at Rosie’s Mexican Cantina. She will be missed but her spirit will live on in the anecdotes, which usually morphed more into folktales, that she left behind during her journey on Earth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, JD Pope and Lillian Gray Pope, and her devoted husband, Robert L. Green. She is survived by daughter Dawn Green Roth (Pete), son Todd Jason Green (Shawnie), grandchildren Courtney Anne Roth and Robert Thomas Roth, several cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends and her Yorkie, Milkshake.
