Charlotte V. Beemer, 91 years, of Jacksonville, IL died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at the Barton W. Stone Home in Jacksonville. She was born January 9, 1916, in Jacksonville, IL; the daughter of Joseph A. and Ethel Clima Fanning Lovell. She married Arthur E. Beemer on January 1, 1937, in Jacksonville, IL and he preceded in death on July 27, 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Belzer (husband, Eddie) of Weslaco, TX; four grandchildren, Kathleen Thompson (husband, Dave) of Springfield, Tracy Wilson (husband, Jerry) of Springfield, Lorra Emma (husband, Nicholas) of Leeâ??s Summit, MO, and Michelle Cabrera (husband, Gustavo) of Weslaco, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Kent Beemer in 2006, and two sisters, Milda Goody Crum and Ruth Dennis.
Mrs. Beemer was formerly employed by Prosterman & Spiesberger Clothing Company and later worked several years for J. Capps & Sons Clothing Company and Sears & Roebuck retail store. She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and attended Licensed Practical Nursing school. She was a member of Central Christian Church and enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family.
