Charlotte Sue (Schumacher) Gibson, 77, of Cincinnati, OH passed away peacefully July 31, 2020 with her family by her side.

Her family, friends and community were her life.

Born in Ithaca, NY, the oldest daughter of six children. Charlotte got her Bachelor of Science degree from SEMU and worked as a research assistant at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, where she met the love of her life, Bruce.  They started their journey together hiking, camping, bird watching, collecting fossils and enjoying nature everywhere they went.  Their adventures took them to Vancouver, BC, and Madison, WI, before finally settling down in Cincinnati, OH in 1974.

Charlotte had an amazing life filled with many things she truly enjoyed.  She was a wonderful wife and mother, first and foremost.  Her faith was very important to her and she was very involved in both St.

She also shared a lifelong hobby of fossil collecting with Bruce and they collected specimens from all over the country.  Charlotte and Bruce did countless hours of volunteer work at the Cincinnati Museum Center working on the museum’s invertebrate fossil collection.  Music was special to her and her favorite singer of all time was John Denver, whose records were playing regularly at the house.  She was a wonderful cook with Black Bottom Pie and Strawberry Pancakes being voted up as family favorites.  As generous and giving as she was, she was also a very competitive game player, and would not hesitate to solidly thump you in one of her favorite games which included Sequence, Sorry, Boggle, Scrabble, and Uno.
