Charlotte King Poepping, 82, of Lebanon, Ill., born October 12, 1924 in St. Louis, MO., died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Charlotte was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and was a member of the Bible Study Group at First Baptist Church in O’Fallon.

She had worked at the dress factory in O’Fallon, Famous Barr and SWIC Program and Services for Older Persons (PSOP). Charlotte, along with her husband Joseph Joe, owned and operated Bel-Vista Mobile Home Sales for many years. They also raised and trained German Shepherds for many years, bringing home the top winners, in the United States, in 1976.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and a son Thomas Weaver. She is survived by her husband Joseph Poepping of Lebanon, Ill., 4 children, Darlene (Doug) Eskra of Smithton, Ill., Martin “Marty” Joseph Poepping of O’Fallon, Ill., Michael Alan (Betsy) Poepping of Tallahassee, Florida, Elise Marie (Tyler) Fernsler of Ballwin, MO., a sister Delores Gatty of Arkansas, 9 grandchilden, Kelly Hawkins of Cali., Scott Eskra of Alton, Ill., Jessica Poepping and Nicholas “Nick” Poepping, both of O’Fallon, Ill., David Poepping and Amelia Poepping, both of Tallahassee, Florida, Randell Marie Fernsler, Jenna Elise Fernsler and Mitchell Fernsler, all of Ballwin, MO., 2 great grandchildren, Erin Arnold of Swansea, Ill., and Devin Eskra of Smithton, Ill., and a cousin June Campbell of Laguna Beach, Cali.
