Charlotte Ione Schultz

1964 ~ 2017

Charlotte Ione Schultz passed away August 1, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bannock Street, Boise, Idaho at 1:52 PM. Charlotte was born in Santa Cruz California to Jess L. and Rosalee Schultz on March 27, 1964.

Charlotte was a beautiful baby, very well adjusted, and grew into a beautiful woman.

Growing up she was curious about everything and had lots of questions about everything. “What makes the sky blue?” comes to mind. She was always, even at a very young age, very adult in her talking and she was always perfectly comfortable dealing with adults. At the age of 3 or 4 she would always greet my friends that came to the house, ask about their families and offer to get them drinks or food. She was the perfect hostess. One friend remarked that Charlotte was 4 going 40!

When Charlotte was 9 she developed Psoriasis. She was taken to many Dermatologists, tried every conceivable cure and treatment but nothing helped. By the time she was sixteen, it covered a third of her body. She was always very self-conscience of it.

Charlotte attended San Lorenzo High School in Felton California. She loved school and loved learning. She especially loved languages. She was took Spanish four years, Latin and French three years. She also was learning a little Hebrew on the side. She loved Hebrew because of the ways a word could be used in speaking and also numerically. Her language teachers said she was especially gifted in that she also thought in the language, she didn’t have to translate in her mind before speaking. She was a straight A student and made lots of friends. Those were happy years for her even though throughout she had to deal with the Psoriasis.

Charlotte graduated high school in June of 1983. From there she went to Sawyer’s Medical College where she studied to be a Medical Secretary. She graduated Sawyers in the 1986 and went to work at Watkins and Johnson’s Company. She worked in the Drafting Department, doing research and many other things.

In 1992 she moved to Emmett Idaho with her family. She worked at temporary jobs at first, then took a job with MCMS Manufacturing in 1996. She worked there until 2000. Later, she developed Congenial Heart Failure. After 3 years and much praying she was miraculously cured. Her cardiologist couldn’t believe it. He said he had never had a patient recover from Congenial Heart Failure. Those were happy days.

After that she decided to go to medical coding college.

In June of 2017 she was diagnosed with non-evasive cancer. She was referred to an Oncologist and surgery was scheduled for August 2, 2017. Unfortunately, after suffering much pain she entered St. Luke’s Friday, July 28, 2017. The doctors discovered her kidneys had failed and so more test was ordered. By Saturday, her doctors had discovered another cancer was at work and was much more aggressive. Charlotte passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, surrounded by her family. She never made it to her surgery date of August 2, 2017.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her father, Jess L. Schultz, her uncle’s Mickey Sebourn, William Sebourn, Charles Sebourn and her cousin Natasha Heffley.
