HAGGARD, Charlotte of Climax, Michigan Charlotte Mae Haggard, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She was born in Stalwart, MI to Daniel and Marie Streling O’Brien. On September 6, 1941 she married Lloyd W. Haggard, who preceded her in death.
The couple have two daughters, Lisa Randy Cavinder of Battle Creek and Pamela Kissinger of Holiday, FL; 5 grandchildren, Garrett, Teresa, Randy, Jesse and Jim; 11 great grandchildren, as well as a large extended family. She is also survived by a brother, Robert O’Brien of Battle Creek and a sister-in-law, Beulah Haggard of Climax. She was a resident of the Climax area since 1945, was a dairy farmer as well as being employed by the Climax-Scotts Schools as a bus driver for 22 years.
She also owned a Shaklee franchise which she continued to operate until her death. Char was a devoted member of the West Leroy Bible Church and served as their organist for many years. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
