Charlotte E. Morgan of Columbus, formerly of Linden, NJ. died Thursday, September 14th, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington. She leaves behind her loving and devoted sister and brother-in-law Verda and Elwood Tryon, beloved nieces Mary Chioda , Angela Kiel and Diane Siniscal, her husband Vincent and their family.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 53 years, Alfred S. Morgan, her brother Randal Read, her much adored nephews Wayne R. Chioda, and Todd T. Tryon and her parents Verda and Randal Read. Charlotte and her husband had been members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, NJ were she taught Sunday school for 40 of the 50 years she was a congregant without ever missing a service. Her unfailing faith supported her through all the difficult times in her life.
After moving to Columbus she became a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Burlington along with her sister and brother-in-law. Charlotte and her husband spent their leisure time traveling extensively. She thoroughly enjoyed spending her spare time reading and redecorating their modest home in Linden. Charlotte’s devotion form her family was evidenced in her sweet, gentle, caring and giving nature. It was felt by each family member and all those who came to know her. She had only kind words to say of others and lived her life trying to emulate the Bible verses that sustained her.
