Charlie McCoy Richardson, 91 of 6541 A. L. Philpott Highway Martinsville, VA died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1919 in Martinsville, VA to the late George Thomas Richardson and Betty Pearl Lester Richardson. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Richardson; a son, Ronnie Lee Richardson; three sisters, Victoria Benzinger, Elizabeth Clark and Daisy Wolfe; three brothers, John A Richardson, Jesse S. Richardson and Reeves W. Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a member of Chatmoss Baptist Church and retired as a textile mechanic for Tultex. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Odell Lee Meador Richardson of the home; three sons, Thomas M. Richardson, Randy Lee Richardson and L. Wayne Richardson all of Martinsville, VA; four grandchildren, Gloria Wright, Marlene Foster, Sharon Richardson and Charles E. Richardson; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Collins.
