Charles William Throroughman, Jr., 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
Charles was born in Fleming County on February 15, 1931, the son of Charles William Thoroughman, Sr. and Jewell Tolliver Thoroughman.
Charles was a cattle and tobacco farmer and worked at Young Farm Machinery. He was a former director with Fleming County Farm Bureau. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was member of the Poplar Plains Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Shane Riddle, David Duzan and Michael (Lori) Duzan; his daughter, Penny (Mike) Conley; his grandchildren, Joshua Riddle, Kacey Riddle, Zachary Duzan, Taylor Conley and Mackenzie Conley; his cousins, Don (Sharon) Young, Bonnie McEldowney, Rowena Gilbert; and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Duzan Thoroughman; his parents; and a sister, Mary Francis Thoroughman.
