Charles Westley SyAC. was born to Charles SyAC. and Alice C. SyAC. on May 13, 1932 in Baltimore, MD.
He was educated in the Baltimore City Schools and after graduating from Douglass High School, Charles enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952. Charles served for 11 years on active duty, after which he joined the United States Army. When asked why he made the switch, Charles would often say, “The Army made me an offer I could not refuse.”
Charles retired from active duty, but remained with the Department of Defense as a recruiter for the US Army. He served in the military for 30+ years when he decided he wanted to find how his military knowledge could assist in other entities.
