Charles Wayne Knotts, 60 of Grafton, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, October 6, 1956, son of the late Gay Knotts and Anna Myers Knotts.
He was in the Army Reserves for nine and half years. He worked at Grafton City Hospital for 13 years as a maintenance Tech. He drove truck coast to coast for 2 years, worked at Montgomery Wards for 10 years. He attended Fairmont Technical College where he received his electrician, plumbers, auto body, carpenter, and business and law license. After finishing school he opened his business, Charlie’s Auto Body Shop, and worked at Pace Tech as a woodshop teacher for about 5 years. He finished his working life at McKinney Properties in Morgantown where he worked for about 10 years. He was a hard worker and a great provider. He enjoyed going on train rides, camping, fishing, with family and friends. He also loved working on cars, and doing construction work.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Wanda Newlon Knotts, four sisters, Cindy Johnson, Summerville, Linda Batton, Grafton, Donna Hess, Fairmont, and Patty Knotts, Florida, one brother, Jerry Knotts, Grafton, and several nieces and nephews.
