Charles Wayne Finell, passed away October 1, 2016. He was born November 4, 1937 to Helen and Charles Finell in Salt Lake City, Utah. He lived in Salt Lake until the age of eight and then moved to El Cerrito, CA, at age 14 his family moved to Walnut Creek, CA where he graduated from Las Lomas high school in 1956.
Wayne attended BYU before serving in the US Air Force. He served our country from 1961-1964 which included the Cuban Missile Crisis. In June of 1964 he married Edelgard Skopek in Essen, Germany.
Wayne is a member of the LDS church and served in various callings; including, second counselor in the Bishopric, High Priest group leader, Elders Quorum, Ward Clerk and Librarian.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edelgard; children, Michael, Lisa, Richard, Edel; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; siblings, James, John, Richard, and Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents.
