Charles W. “Chod” Servies, 73, Crawfordsville, died Monday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Servies worked for CEL&P for 15 years and owned U-Rent ItCenter for 45 years with brothers Max and Paul.
He was a member of CrawfordsvilleElks No. 483, Masonic Lodge No. 64, New Richmond Lodge F& AM, AncientAccepted Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, AmericanRental Association, and Sons of the American Legion Post No. 72, Crawfordsville.
He graduated from New Market High School. He was born March 20, 1935, at Crawfordsville, to Foster Servies and CatherineBlessing Servies. He married Margaret Scott on July 2, 1955, at Crawfordsville. She survives. Also surviving are daughter Libbie(Kenny) Booth, Crawfordsville; sons JeffreyS., C. Robert (Carolyn), and ScottA., all of Crawfordsville; brothers LesterMax Servies and Paul T. (Phyllis) Servies, both of Crawfordsville; and sister Sue(Jim) Becker, Florida; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by brothers on and Edward and sister MaryServies.
