Charles Voigt, IV, 61, of Spotswood, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Born in Cherry Hill, Charlie was raised in Camden, Lindenwold and Southington, Connecticut, before settling in Spotswood in 1999. He was a salesperson with the Bilco Group of Hillside for more than 25 years. He was a devoted father and, son, caring for his own dad in his final years. In his youth, Charlie earned a Black Belt in Aikido, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charlie had a love of all animals, his specialty being reptiles as herpetology was his course of study. Most of his high school studies were completed at St. Francis Seminary, Lafayette NJ, where his choral group sang at the Vatican. He continued singing in the 80’s as the voice of Elvis in his band.
Predeceased by his parents, Charles Voigt, III and Veronica (Filipski) Voigt, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Catherine (Grady) Voigt; his son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Amanda Voigt and; his grandchildren, Piper and Logan Voigt.
