Charles T. Bavery, 64, of Jacksonville, IL, and formerly of Lewistown, IL died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his residence. He was born July 11, 1954, in Canton, IL, the son of Eugene and Mary Anabel Heisler Bavery.
He is survived by three children, Joey Bavery of Lewistown, Crystal Tarvin (Mark) of Canton, and Charles Bavery II of Canton; four grandchildren; two sisters, Susan Hardin (Steve) of Jacksonville and Mary Jo Kumer (David) of Lake St. Louis, MO; a brother, Jeffrey Bavery of Jacksonville; and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Robert Bavery in infancy and Theresa Bavery.
Charles was a graduate of Lewistown Community High School and formerly worked at International Harvester in Canton and Caterpillar in Peoria. He also worked in the Bavery family restaurant in Lewistown and was a self-employed roofing contractor. He relocated to Jacksonville where he was employed at AC Humko and Reynolds.
