Charles “Stanley” Gibbs, Sr, age 86, of Suwanee, GA passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020.
He was preceded in death by former wife, Virginia Heard, and parents, Harry P. Gibbs and Nellie Payne Gibbs.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by children, Charles S. Gibbs, Jr and wife, Lynn, Buford, GA, David and Samantha Gibbs, Suwanee, GA, Daniel and Sonya Gibbs, Buford, GA, Tim and Jo Gibbs, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Jordan Gibbs, Emily Gibbs, Justin Gibbs, Lauren Ballenger, Nathan Gibbs, Ryan Gibbs, Josh Gibbs; two great grandchildren, Maddy Hudgins and Rae Ballenger.
Mr. Gibbs was born in Canton, GA on September 29, 1933.
He was a 1950 graduate of Canton High School, attended Reinhardt College, and graduated in 1956 from GA State College with a Bachelor’s degree. Mr. Gibbs was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was owner of Gibbs Properties in Buford, GA. In the 1970’s, he served as president of Board of Realtors in Cumming, GA, and was a member of the Million Dollar Club. Mr. Gibbs had a great love for his family. He enjoyed ballroom dancing for many years, and he was of the Baptist faith
