Charles Robert Trotter, 94, of Anderson, passed away on October 18, 2019, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Chesterfield. He was born on August 12, 1925, in Hope, Indiana to Walter and Anna Trotter.

Charles graduated from Hope High School in 1943 and proudly served his country in the US Army Blackhawk Division during WWII. Until the time of his death, Charles was proud to be the oldest living Past Master of the Freemasons in Bartholomew County, Indiana. He was a Worshipful Master Freemason with Hope Lodge #150, a Shriner, and a member of Hope Methodist Church, the 1st United Methodist Church in Clermont, FL, and attended Church of the Brethren in Anderson. He was an avid bridge and euchre player.

Charles is survived by his loving children, Annette (Vanis) Bush, Fayette Beauchamp, Janette (Jon) Holtzleiter, Robert (Diane) Trotter, Joseph (Heather) Trotter, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Mae (Wrightsman) Trotter, and sister, Mabel Utter.
