Charles Robert Transue, 84, of Bath, passed away peacefully on Friday January 26, 2018, surrounded by his wife and loving family, while in the care of Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the loving husband of Yvonne (Fritzinger) Transue with whom he shared 60 years of loving marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Calvin and Bernice (Spengler) Transue. Charles was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1953. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Charles began his working career as a draftsman for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, ultimately retiring in 1983 as a Computer Systems Programmer in the Fabricated Steel Construction Department after 35 years.

He later worked in the computer field for various sub-contractors. Charles’ main goals in life were to provide for his family and to build a family home. And after many years of hard work, he accomplished those goals. His family has lived in the home he built ever since. Charles was a member of Christ Church, UCC, Bath, and a Mason with Bethlehem Masonic Lodge 283. He enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, fishing and golf.

Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Yvonne; daughters, Sandra wife of Thomas Ressler of Wind Gap, Susan Transue and her spouse Deborah Halliday of Walnutport; sister, Dorothy wife of Robert Mantz of Bethlehem; brother, Kenneth Transue and his wife Gail of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Kimberly wife of Cody Houck of Nazareth, Shea Transue of Walnutport.
