Charles Robert Schwab, 86, of Anderson, passed away on September 28, 2020, at Ascension St. Vincent, Anderson. He was born on July 3, 1934, in Hancock County, IN, the son of Harold and Betty Schwab. Charles graduated from Anderson High School in 1954. He served a 4 year apprenticeship in the skill trades.
Charles retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors having worked as a tool & die maker for 41.5 years. He was a member of the Anderson Road Runners, Hoosier Kite Fliers Society, Anderson aero modelers, from 1984 until 2005. Charles took 2 weeks every year to tour the United States and Canada on his bicycle and camping along the way.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Knotts) Schwab; children, Cathy Baker (Jon Fish), Mark Schwab, Debbie (Steve) Shanks, Tracy Schwab, Jonathan Jones (Tracy Knight), and Lisa (Dale) Perry; brother, Ralph (Linda) Schwab; brother-in-law, Ralph Knotts; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sonny Schwab; grandson, Nathan Clow.
