Charles Duvall, 99 years of age, passed away November 27, 2022. Charles was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Charles and Olive Duvall, now deceased. Charles served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 with Patton’s Third Army 10th Armored Division in Europe. Charles moved from Baltimore to Albuquerque in 1961 to accept work at Sandia Labs and retired in 1988.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Simone Brown, and his brother Ronald Duvall and Ronald’s daughter, Mary Duvall, and her children, Nicholas Cappelletti (Mandy) and Ciara Fuselier (George). Charles had four children from a previous marriage: Charles Duvall, Valerie Barber (Kirk), Robert Duvall (Christine), and Timothy Duvall (Kathy). His grandchildren are Bridgette Hill (Brett), Karen Cerezo (John), Jeremy Barber, Tyler Duvall, Jennifer Topley (Daniel), and Kimber Duvall (Tito Rios). Charles’ great-grandchildren are Stephanie Espineli (Gino) and their children Enzo and Adaline; Hailie Barber, Elias Cerezo, Mackenzie Cerezo; Matthew Barber; Noah Topley, Grace Topley, Sophia Rios Duvall, Rhiannon Rios Duvall. Charles’ step-daughter is Vivian Sutherland (Herbert), and their children are Suzanne Purdy (Daniel) and Kenneth Sutherland (Jessica). His step-grandchildren are Jennifer Purdy, David Purdy, Julia Sutherland, Madlyn Sutherland, and Logan Sutherland. Charles was a kind and loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed.
