Charles P. “Pete” Bazel, 60, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Greene County General Hospital. He was born October 4, 1948, in Burlington, IA to Robert and Mary I. (Brooks) Bazel. On February 24, 1995, he married Loretta D. (Clark).
Survivors include his wife, Loretta D. Bazel, one son and two daughters from a previous marriage, one step-daughter, Vickie (Jerry) Heck of Linton; one step-son, James (Elizabeth) Lawson of Worthington; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gerry, Timothy, Zachia, Chandler, Andrew, Christopher and Shawn. Also surviving is sisters, Lucia Swiler, Jane Ann Laue; brothers James Bazel and Richard Bazel all of Burlington, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
