Charles Olen Dempsey, 71, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born June 17, 1947 in Centralia, son of Everett Charles Dempsey and Florence (Meadows) Dempsey.
He is survived by three children: Kevin Charles Dempsey of West Point, MS, Anthony Charles Dempsey, and Mindi Bliss and husband John of West Point, MS; three grandchildren: Johnny Bliss, Jaxson Bliss, and JJ Bliss all of West Point, MS; three brothers: Robert Dempsey of Centralia, David Dempsey of Centralia, and Jack Dempsey of Louisiana; a sister: Hazel “Jo” Evilsizer and husband Jimmy of Centralia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Larry Dempsey, a sister: Judy Watts, and a niece: Heather Budds. Charles worked for Swan Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He loved his four legged companion, Lacy.
