HAVERHILL – Charles M. Artz, IV, 34 years old, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his childhood home.

Charles led a life surrounded by caring family, friends and his five children, Ace, Ava, Lexi Cash and Scarlett, who will make sure to keep his memory alive as his soul was so beautiful in this world before God called him home.

Charles grew up in Haverhill, MA, attended the Haverhill public school system, where he met his wife Katherine at Bradford Elementary School, and graduating from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2006. Charles also went on to New England Tractor Trailer Training School. He worked most recently for SPS New England, Salisbury, MA and JC Grounds, Danvers, MA. Previously he held jobs with USPS (Amesbury) and Staples.

Charles loved life. He enjoyed music, playing songs on his guitar, always continuing to learn, and was a true Elvis Presley fan. His favorite thing to do was take rides either in the car or on his Indian Scout motorcycle. He loved all his children so much and each had their own unique bond with him. He never just watched his children play, he was much a kid himself and was always right there with them playing.

Charles leaves behind his wife, Katherine Marie Artz, mother Linda R. Artz, his five children, Ace, Ava, Lexi, Cash and Scarlett. Charles will be missed by his aunts and uncles, Stephen and Ann Cultrera, Donald and Jane Cultrera, and Rick Cultrera, all of Medford, and Lawrence and Denise Cultrera of Saugus.  He is also survived by cousins and many long-time friends. Charles was predeceased by his father Charles M. Artz, III with whom he was very close.

His beautiful smile and wit will be missed greatly by all his family and many friends.
