Charles Lennell Moody was born on September 28, 1955 in Earle, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Elijah Moody, Sr. and Louise Moody.
He relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1970 with family. He completed his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School with the class of 1978.
Charles was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. He absolutely loved his family.
Charles Lennell Moody departed this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Father on September 7, 2022 at the age of sixty-six years, eleven months and seven days. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Rosie Cummings, Mary Lee Blockmon and Diane Moody; brother, Elijah Moody Jr.; brothers- in-law, Joe Louis Blockmon Sr., Vance Welch Sr. and Otis Cummings Sr.; and his son, Charles DeWayne Moody.
He leaves behind his children, Cherelle Prim, DeWayne Moody (Shirley), and Mechelle Moody; grandchildren, Elijah Moody, Josiah Moody, Justice Moody, and Rajne Moody; brothers, Albert Moody (Barbara), Bobby Moody (Mary), and Larry Moody; sisters, Geneva Johnson, Lillie Moody (L.C.), Alma Smith, Mary Welch, Dorothy Moody (Jerry), Polly Moody (Rick) and Samantha Wallace (Lamar); special friend, Delores Miller, her children and grandchildren; and a host of other stepsisters and brothers, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
