The Life of Charles Lee Langford began in Priceville, Alabama on April 16, 1949 to the late William and Isabelle Holland Lankford.  He departed this life on November 17, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.

Mr. Langford was baptized at an early age.  He was a former member of Union Grove P.B. Church.  He was united in Holy Matrimony to Margaret Ann Kelley in 1968 and to this union three children were born, Charles Jr., Gregory and Debra.

He was a 1967 graduate of Lakeside High School.  He later moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee and attended Third Street Technical School which led him to be employed by Royal Desoto Incorporation.  After relocating back to Decatur, Alabama, he was employed at Goodyear Mills where he was a dedicated employee and retired in 2003 with 30 years of service.

Mr. Langford was preceded in death by his parents, William and Isabella Lankford; one son, Charles Lee Langford Jr; three sisters, Maletha Gholston, Christina Freeman and Willie Mae Ricks; and two brothers, John Williams and Oneal Langford.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Margaret A. Langford; son, Gregory L. Langford; daughter, Debra D (Carl) Scott all of Decatur; sister, Shelia Iyobebe of Montgomery; brother, the Rev. John Edward (Veronica) Cable of Pulaski, TN; four grandchildren, Gregory Oneil Langford, Lorenzo O’Bryan Langford, Ka’Ree L. Langford and Chyna P. Scott all of Decatur; two great-grandchildren, Talaya R. Langford and K’Mauri K. Williams both of Decatur; two brothers-in-law, Terry L Ricks of Moulton and Connie Gholston of Town Creek; one sister-in-law, Donna Kay Cooper of Decatur; a devoted niece, Wanda (Luther) Wiggins of Decatur; three aunts, Lunvenger Pickett of Pulaski, TN, Merlene Holland  and Dorothy Davis both of Decatur; one devoted cousin, Wille Mae Randall of Decatur; a devoted daughter-in-law, Vickie L. Langford of Decatur; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
