Charles Lawhorn, 67, of New Haven passed away on Nov. 11, 2012 in The Arden House, Hamden. He was the husband for 47 years of Carolyn J. Lawhorn. Mr. Lawhorn was born in Camden, So. Carolina on Feb. 5, 1945, son of the late Horace Lawhorn Sr. and Fannie Smith Lawhorn. He graduated from HillhouseHigh School where he played basketball and football. At various times, he worked at Avco-Lycoming, Electric Boat and, more recently as a chef at Hudson Bay in Chimney Square, the Chart House and Sage American Grille.
