Charles was born on June 26, 1937 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Louis Moore and Colleen Shaw. He departed this life on October 15, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Shaw confessed Christ and was a member of St. Stephens P.B. Church where he had served on the Usher Board. He retired from Compass Bank formerly Central Bank after 38 Years as a mail courier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Janetta Balentine and brother, William Holden Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and caring wife, Emma Torain Shaw of Decatur; seven children, Charles Jr. Shaw (Arlene) and Gregory Shaw (Carolyn) both of Kansas City, MO, Carolyn Shaw of Decatur, Shelia Henderson of Harvest, Sheron Smartt (Jeffrey) of Madison, Melinda Johnson (Gary) of Decatur and Brenda Hill (Warren) of Hillsboro; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Harris (Howard) and Hartenisa L. Chatman; 21 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, seven sisters in-law, five brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
