He was born on November 12, 1935 in Williamsport, MD to the late Charles Butler Potts and Florence Viola Crist Hoffman Potts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Ann Myers Potts in 1995.
Charles was a 1954 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.
He was employed by Mack Trucks, Inc. for 31 plus years retiring in 1994.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
He was a member of UAW Local #171 in Hagerstown, MD; past member of Tribe #84 IORM in Williamsport, MD.
Charles loved fishing and crabbing at the bay and enjoyed shooting pool.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey L. Potts of Hagerstown, MD; stepdaughter Katina L. Myers of Hagerstown, MD; brother William D. “Danny” Potts of Marlowe, WV; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Lucinda D. Line; two sons Charles K. Potts, Jr. and Jason C. Potts; grandson Clint J. Line; brother Thomas N. Potts; three sisters Mary V. Cauffman, Suzanne V. Martin, and Florence E. Hughes; half brother Theodore M. Hoffman.
