Charles Joseph Euskolitz, Sr., 87, of Killingworth, passed away Monday, December 21st at Cromwell Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born in New Haven on March 5, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Butrym) Jaskiewicz. Charles served his country as a Marine during WWII from July 24, 1941 through October 26, 1943. He was wounded in Guadalcanal receiving a purple heart and honorably discharged. He worked at New England Die Casting Company for 44 years as a lead foreman. He owned Betty’s Restaurant in Killingworth for 7 years. His loves were fishing, hunting, wildlife and domestic pets. Charles is survived by his daughters, Caren Euskolitz(Bob McGowan) and Carol Sause (Don Sause); a daughter-in-law, Pat Frate Euskolitz and family; grandsons and their families, Matthew Euskolitz, Lonnie Floyd Wiellette and Michael Floyd; and by his nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary Capasso(Louis Capasso); brothers, Alex, Joseph, and Adam; a daughter, Beverly; a son, Charles, J. Euskolitz, Jr.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Floyd; a grandson, Eric Euskolitz; and a nephew, James Capasso.
