Charles Austin, Sr., age 82, passed away on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at his home in Simmesport surrounded by his loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Clint Joseph Austin (Lisa Smith Austin), Brent Joseph Austin (Kimberly Smith Austin), Wayne Paul Austin all of Simmesport and Charles Joseph Austin, Jr.(Sherri Moreau Austin) of Mansura; sister, Judy Rachal(Jessie) of Kenner; 7 grandchildren: Tiffany Veade( Jamie), Casey Foret(Leroy), Kandace Austin(Kurt Landry), Sandy Gaillard(Kerry), Brittany Sweeny(Kevin), Amanda St. Romain(Zack) and Kate Austin(Blake Ducote); and 9 great-grandchildren: Ashton Veade, Gracie Foret, Abbie Foret, Kollin Landry, Rylee Sweeny, Hadley Gaillard, Harley Gaillard, Harvey and Austin St. Romain.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Moreau Austin; parents, John Austin and Lessie Smith Austin; brother, John Carl Austin; sisters, Mary Brinkley and Joanne Sapia.
