Chuck passed on peacefully Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 19, 1940, in Parma, MI, the son of Orlin and Dorothy (Kofflin) Harmon.
Chuck was a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he earned his Master’s Degree. He was a science teacher for over 50 years and retired from Portage Northern High School. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman, runner, and advocate for world peace and social justice. He had a deep appreciation of Native American culture. On August 1, 1987, Chuck was united in marriage to Donna (DeWaard) Harmon, who survives.
Also surviving are four children: Amy (Jeff Lisse) Harmon, Chad (Mandy) Harmon, Andrew Harmon, and Catherine Harmon; brother: Robert (Peg) Harmon; sister-in-law: Diane Harmon; aunt: Veronica (Kofflin) Phend and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother: Thomas Harmon.
