Charles Henry Cox, 95, passed away on January 11, 2018 in Manassas Virginia. He was the sixth of seven children born to Mordecai Boyd and Carrie Cason Cox on November 30, 1922 in Marietta Georgia. He grew up in Stockbridge Georgia and graduated from McDonough High School in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II and Korean War serving in the US Army Air Corps/Air Force. He attended West Georgia College and received Bachelor’s and Master Degrees in Law from the Atlanta Law School. He was a custom home builder for 30 years as the founder and owner of C.H. Cox Inc. In retirement he worked for GE Capital Fleet and later with Home Depot, retiring for good in 2010 at the age of 88. He was married to Gwendolyn Moon from 1954 until her death in 1993. He is survived by his son Henry Benjamin Cox and daughter in law Lisa (Lytton Springs, Texas), daughter Cary Cason Cox Martin, son in law John E. Martin (Reston, Virginia) and granddaughters Catherine Cason Martin (Washington, DC) and Sara Elizabeth Martin (Fairfax, Virginia). He will be interred alongside his wife, Gwen, at St Philips Cathedral in Atlanta Georgia.
