Charles Head, 77, of Mary Esther, passed away in his home on Friday, January 17, 2014. Charles has been a resident of Fort Walton Beach for 57 years.
Charles was born on April 10, 1936 in Bullock County, Alabama. He was the son of the late Charlie Brown Head and Ethel Ousley Head.
Charles is survived by his two sons: Maltezo and Calloway Head, both of Fort Walton Beach; three daughters: Theresa R. Head, of Fort Walton Beach, Loresa M. & David Davis, of Panama City, and Valerie R. & James Hardy of Fort Walton Beach. Also cherishing memories of Charles are his two brothers: Maxin Head and Jerry & Shawn Head all of Fort Walton Beach; two sisters: Vera Cooper of Crestview and Ethlene Bradfhaw of New York; eight grandsons; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Our father was an honest, humble, but straight-forward speaking man who did not mind helping others.
The family of the late Mr. Charles Head extends their sincere gratitude for all expressions of kindness and a special thank you to Woodlands Hospital, nurses and doctors during our father’s illness, Gentiva Hospice and McLaughlin Mortuary.
