Charles E Hart, of Anderson, passed away on December 25, 2013 at Community Hospital. Charles resided most of his life in Anderson, IN.
He was born in Danville, Missouri and spent his childhood in Ingalls where he graduated from Fortville High School in 1946.He served his country in the Korean Conflict and was a proud member of the American Legion. Charlie worked at Emge’s in Anderson where he retired after 46 years of work as a mechanic.
He was a proud father that enjoyed helping family and friends, repairing anything mechanical, fishing and playing cards. Charles is survived by his daughter, Tammy Hart companion-Joe Collins of Anderson, IN; his wife Shirley’s children whom he cherished as his own, daughter, Susan Earl Newton of Anderson, IN, son, Billy Diana Owings of Ft. Myers, FL, daughter, Nancy Owings of Lexington, KY, daughter, Cathi Owings of Martinsville, IN; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Hart; father, David Hart; mother, Susie M. Wagner Hart; cherished son Bob Owings; and brothers, Joe and Dan Hart.
