WHITCOMB, Charles H. of Winsted, 75, died on May 7, 2022. Charles was born in Wellesley, MA, son of the late William W. Whitcomb and Barbara H. Whitcomb; Father to his adopted daughter, Cheryl Seibert and her husband Tyler of Barkhamsted, CT; Brother of William W. Whitcomb, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Milford, CT; Uncle to both Karen Bryan and her husband David of Franklin, MA, and Brian Whitcomb and his wife Michaela of Cranston, RI; and six grandnieces and grandnephews. Charles graduated from Boston University with a degree in Fine Arts having pursued interests in both theater and dance. After graduation, Charles traveled to Australia for several years and upon returning home, opened his own portrait photography studio in Wellesley, MA. Charles became enthused with Macintosh Computers in the late 1980s and soon became an expert in both hardware and software. He was employed by several businesses including The Middlesex News prior to retiring.Outside of his career, Charles studied theology, philosophy, and eastern religion with great passion and devoted his life to helping others through the fellowship of AA where he touched the lives of so many who will carry his light forward.Charles was surrounded by family and dearest of friends including the Obrien family at the time of his passing.
